BIOSKETCH:
    Dr. Coke completed his post graduate training and received his diploma from the University of Chicago in 1988. In 1992, he was awarded a Doctorate of Medicine from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, MO. He went on to complete his post-doctoral training in 1996 at McGill University in Montreal, Canada. Subsequent to this four year residency , he was as invited for a one-year fellowship in NeuroOncology and Stereotactic Radiosurgery at Thomas Jefferson University and Wills Eye Neurosensory Institute in Philadelphia, PA. In 1997, Dr. Coke helped to found the Radiation Oncology department at the University Of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock Arkansas. He remained there as an assistant professor and worked with the local population until 2000 when he relocated to the Chicago area.

    Dr. Coke joined the Midwest Radiation Oncology Consultants in June of 2000. He is the medical director at Provena Saint Joseph Hospital in Elgin, IL. In addition to having a general practice in the field of Radiation Oncology, his areas of expertise and interests include stereotactic radiosurgery, neuro-oncology, prostate brachytherapy and intensity modulated radiotherapy (IMRT). He is committed to volunteering as cancer outreach advocate to educate and screen the community in a comprehensive yet compassionate fashion.

    Dr. Coke lives in Oak Park with his wife, Karen, and their two children, Nia and Naomi. His outside interests include traveling, languages and running. He is a member of the Oak Park Runner’s Club; speaks French fluently and tries his hand at Spanish and Portuguese.
