The Radiation Therapy Center at Provena St. Joseph Hospital in Elgin, Illinois is equiped with 2 Dual Energy Varian 2100C Linear Accelerators, as well as with High Dose Rate Brachytherapy which is often used for cancers of the female pelvis and cancers of the lung.

A Phillips CT (Computerized Tomography) simulator is used to assist with the planning of radiation treatments. Both three dimensional, conformal radiotherapy (3DCRT) and intensity modulated radiotherapy (IMRT) are available at this center.

In addition, our radiation treatment facility in Elgin performs stereotactic radiosurgery as primary treatment for certain brain tumors.
