The Radiation Therapy Center at Northern Illinois Medical Center in McHenry, Illinois is equiped with a Dual Energy Varian Linear Accelerator, as well as with High Dose Rate Brachytherapy which is often used for cancers of the female pelvis and cancers of the lung.

A Phillips CT (Computerized Tomography) simulator is used to assist with the planning of radiation treatments. Three dimensional, conformal radiotherapy (3DCRT) is used routinely at this center.
